Seoul Diary 2020: Delicious Eats

Seoul is a city known for its rich culture, history, and delicious cuisine. In this blog post, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite eats from my recent trip to Seoul.

Jjajangmyeon

Jjajangmyeon is a classic Korean dish that consists of noodles topped with a thick, black bean sauce. The noodles are made from wheat flour and are usually served with vegetables and meat. The sauce is made from fermented black beans, garlic, ginger, and other ingredients, and it has a rich and savory flavor.

Samgyeopsal

Samgyeopsal is a Korean-style barbecue that features grilled pork belly. The meat is marinated in a special sauce before grilling and is served with various sides such as lettuce, kimchi, and ssamjang (a spicy dipping sauce). Samgyeopsal is a popular dish in Korea and is often eaten as a casual meal or as part of a larger Korean barbecue feast.

Bibimbap

Bibimbap is a rice bowl dish that is filled with a variety of ingredients such as vegetables, meat, and egg. The ingredients are mixed together with a spicy chili pepper paste sauce and served over a bed of rice. Bibimbap is a healthy and filling dish that is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.

Tteokbokki

Tteokbokki is a popular Korean street food that consists of rice cakes and fish cakes stir-fried in a spicy sauce. The rice cakes are chewy and have a slightly sweet flavor, while the fish cakes have a savory flavor. Tteokbokki is usually served with a sprinkle of seaweed and is a great snack or appetizer.

Haejongguk

Haejongguk is a traditional Korean soup that is made from beef, beef broth, and a variety of vegetables. The soup is flavored with soy sauce, garlic, and other ingredients and has a rich and savory flavor.
